I added the summary of what happened in the episode The Hardest Word to the Evidence Room. This was the fifth episode of the fourth series.

This was a special request, so if you see episode summaries that are missing, just send me a note and I’ll move those to the top of my to do list. The Hardest Word was a bit convoluted, so I am sure there were things I missed. Post your comments about the episode or the summary in the forum.

Some Public Broadcasting Stations (PBS) are showing Waking the Dead. This is much better than BBC America since PBS will
only cut a minute or so for time, if even that much. The downside is that each PBS station is independent and does its own thing.

First check your local PBS stations to see if they are airing Waking the Dead. Second, share the information with your fellow fans. WGBH in Boston is up to season 5. Their schedule cuts off I can’t tell what they’ll do after Yahrzeit. WLIW in New York has just started with season 1, episode 1, Burn Out. Boyd in a white shirt and tie, with floppy hair.

BBC America is showing a marathon on Tuesday October 13. (pretty much today) Sorry for the short notice, I just found out. They are showing some episodes from season 6, including, Wren Boys and Yahrzeit.

The one scary thing about the WTD marathon on BBCA is that their online schedule has Doctor Who in that slot. My DVR is showing WTD, so we’ll see.

That’s the best I can do. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed whether we get PBS or BBCA or not. The real prize will be if Seasons 7 and 8 come to America.

Waking The Dead’s second episode of the eighth series captured 6.5 million viewers (27% share) for the first part and then 6.7 million for the second part (29% share).

Around 400,000 more people watched the second week’s offering than the premiere week. Let’s hope this trend of increasing ratings continue.

Catch Trevor Eve in Framed this Monday night at 8:30 pm London time on BBC One.

Trevor Eve is one of country’s best-known leading actors with roles in Waking The Dead, Hughie Green Most Sincerely and the legendary Seventies private detective series Shoestring.

In Framed he plays Quentin Lester, a shy, reserved curator from the National Gallery, who, by chance, finds himself in a remote Welsh Village at the centre of a chain of events that will change his life for ever.

Speaking about his character, Trevor says: “He is very different from the roles that I usually play. Well, he is not a criminal investigator, for once, or even a game show host. (Laughs)

“I think he is a sensitive man. He is very shy, who can’t understand the inadequacies of the human race.

“He is the senior curator at the National Gallery, someone who has devoted his life to art and the appreciation of art. He is intolerant of people and doesn’t find them as fascinating as the canvasses that are in front of him so, when he has the opportunity to go into isolation with all of the paintings, he is very excited by this.
